All recordings lost! - DirecTV

A technician was sent out to our home earlier to fix our "connection problems" that we've been having for the past few days. They said that there's a problem with the tv receiver & they need to change it. The tech changed it out and told us to wait for a few minutes for our recordings to refresh. It never did! The DVRs were not replaced. Tried calling tech support and they said they couldn't help. Any chance the recordings will be recovered at this point? I'm so mad at the tech! I should've just troubleshooted it on my own!
