Carl, I've personally tried remotes from RCA, Zenith, URC and my favorite, which is a Chinese no-name, and not a one of them had a code that would work.

The URC, however, could be "taught" to work the box, you just have to go through the fairly tedious learning process. There are a number of "learning" remotes out there, some cheap, some not so cheap. You pays your money and you takes your chances.

If you still have the original remote the 'learning' function would work fine. until the batteries go dead and all codes are lost. so if you one day did lose the remote it would be hard to use the URC again.

I've found similar looking remotes for Funai, Symphonic, and various others that look just like the Magnavox converter, most of them are for VCRs but ironically functions such as 'Menu' and 'Channel Up/Down' will work should you lose the remote, but wouldn't provide the 'one remote for all devices' you're seeking.

Magnovox Digital TV converter box remote solution codes

The cheapest fix we could find (after hours of looking for code for "one for all" universal to no avail), was to simply go to walmart and for $8 get the RCA universal remote, it has a special section in the code literature for DTV converter boxes (about 20 different brands including Magnovox)... it worked the first time.. easy to program (hold down dtc button at same time enter 5 digit code with other hand (51563), your're done, Easy). menu functions work as well with menu button, also program info can be gotten with the guide button, then use right arrow to access future program info, etc.. ) Nice unit, seems to be the only one for a decent price that we could find that was an immediate solution. It also allows for 2 other devices such as TV and DVD or VCR or DVR or Satelite units to be controlled from same unit.. i'd get 2 to use in different rooms so you don't have to re-learn a new remote every time you change rooms. also has learning feature, and quick learn if you can just enter the first code, if it doesn't work you simply hit power button to automatically go to next code for your device brand. neat. Not the ultimate but for the price very good.

Universal Remote code for TB110MW9 Magnavox Digital Converter Box

I checked the manual for TB110MW9 and it said for universal remotes if the Magnavox codes don't work try Sylvania. For my remotes GE model 24944 and ONN 4 Device Universal (both from WalMart) the 1903 code turns it on/off. Will check tomorrow on a TV to see if it changes channels.

RCA universal remote for Magnavox TB100MG9

RCA 3 device universal remote model RCR134WR code 51563 works with Magnavox converter TB100MG9 but only model RCR134WR which looks EXACTLY like RCR314WZ /BZ. Both found at Wal-Mart

Confirming what above guest said, the RCR314WZ/BZ does NOT work. I called the friendly 800# on the package and they told me that I needed the "old" version, the RCR134WR. Which my Walmart did not have, they only had the "new" one and it seems they have the same UPC code, so buyer beware. I ended up getting the $5 ONN remote at Walmart and it worked on first try. But it is very small and cheap

Follow-up on my previous comment. After another conversation with the RCA remote help line they confirmed that models # with Z will NOT work. But somewhat unclear about the WR models, as some of them say "stream" on the accessory button. Specifically you need to look for a remote that says "DTC" on the accessory button, NOT "stream". It sounds as though the actual button label is more defining than the model number. I found one on Ebay.

So far, none of the above codes or suggestions have worked for me. I have an Insignia TV that negates the use of the RCA Universal Remote (it has the code but doesn't have an "Input" button which is necessary if you want to switch to HDMI or VCR/DVD or USB). I need a code for the Magvavox TB110MW9 converter box that will work with an Insignia 4 Device Universal Remote (NSRMT415), since that remote has all the buttons I need and works with both my Insignia TV and my RCA VHS/DVD+RW Combo. Anyone have any information on this, any codes that work for this setup, or any new suggestions about how to deal with this situation?
