Gaming is the one area that Apple has been surprisingly avoiding. If this rumor is true, I welcome it (being that I'm such a fan boy). I hope they

A. Do it right
B. Stick with it
C. Make it interactive with other devices and networks...ie getting score updates on my phone, sharing scores with friends on Facebook, and being able to access statistics from my computer, phone, or iPad.

I don't think they've been avoiding gaming at all. The iPhone, and iPod touch are the #1 portable game consoles on the market and they have 50% marketshare. Steve Jobs boasted about that at an event for a new iPod touch before he died.

I can see them doing facebook and twitter integration. As far as sharing scores? That's easy. They'll just put it in game center.

Very true, but I meant more so about Apple's lack of console / tv / computer gaming system involvement. My gaming on a smartphone is limited to words with friends and other cutesy games which to me isn't "real" gaming to me.

The new consoles from Microsoft and Sony seem too expensive for me, in terms of the cost of the games.

Most of the people i know that fancy games, prefer to invest on a PC with a 6 core Cpu, lots of Ram and the latest graphics card, of course.

The cost of a game for a PC isnt that different from the cost of the same game on a console, and as an extra you still get a PC ofr other uses that you can upgrade.

Today 50 USD for a game (or more) doesnt make sense. I hope Apple can change that.

I think that would be cool. Considering my husband is a huge gaming fan. LOL I personally could go either way. Considering I don't like games or gaming console.
