Audio slow to load since last update - DirecTV DVR

For DirecTV TV services which include DVRs and receivers, Audio slow to load since last update Since the last interface update a few days ago, whenever I change channels, hit the 7-second Replay button, or rewind for any amount - I get 1-3 seconds with no sound that wasn't there before. Often, the mute is followed by staggered/intermittent audio for another second or so. Really distracting and irritating. You have to rewind further back than you wanted just so you end up with audio at the part you wanted to see.

Yes, I've already rebooted all my junk, so don't go there. The automated tools did nothing.
