Billing Incorrect - Called for 5 months now - DirecTV

Is there anyway to get your billing corrected while on the phone? I have called every month since July, and everytime I'm told the bill will be adjusted. When the bill comes in, it is still incorrect. I finally got fed up and cancelled U-verse TV. I still was charged for a whole new month after cancelling.
