They have only heard music through inexpensive ear buds or low budget car stereos. I don't mean this in a disrespectful way but such a listener probably has no idea how different the music sounds through a high-quality sound system. OR...the majority of people have never heard live bands in a good environment. There is a "segment" of music that is felt more than heard. It is impossible to experience that through ear buds-even with a $500 set of professional in-ear monitors.
