No, please don’t bother buying an Apple TV is you don’t have a stable internet connection. It requires the internet so you are essentially throwing your money away if you purchase one without a good internet connection.

Yeah, it's not very useful without an internet connection. You'd only be able to watch stuff that you have on your computers, and without an internet connection you won't even have that.

You need Internet to sign into iTunes but as far it being "not very useful" without internet that's not very accurate. I use mine mostly for AirPlay and that does not need Internet only a local connection.
