CBS has announced a change to its Big Brother reality show that will ultimately help it align its standout drama, Person of Interest, with its new fall time period.

View attachment 2486 Starting the week of July 8th, Big Brother will air its weekly trio of programs on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The move to Thursdays (as of July 11) for its weekly live eviction episode leaves its previous Tuesday evening spot open, allowing the network to insert Person of Interest in its 2013-2014 slot. Also moving to its fall position effective July 9 is NCIS: Los Angeles. The two dramas will follow the original NCIS with Mark Harmon.

Starring Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson, Person of Interest had a strong second year on the air and was TV’s 3rd most-watched drama. It improved over 12% from its season one numbers, drawing in an average of 16.2 million viewers per show.

So strong and topical is the show that features a thinking machine capable of watching everyone almost everywhere that at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con, it will be the sole promotional keycard lock for all attendees. The special cards are sponsored by Warner Brothers which will pass out two different keycards, including one that features Caviezel and Emerson.

The Comic Con panel will be held on July 20 and Person of Interest returns for a third season on September 24. Starting July 17, Big Brother will be followed by repeats of Criminal Minds and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
