Directv app Doesn't Like Note 5 - DirecTV

When I attempt to schedule the DVR to record with an extended stop time, the app fails to do so and returns an error message, "The program could not be scheduled to record on these receiver(s)". However, I have several devices, including iPhone 6s, and Samsung Tab2, which work flawlessly with the Directv app.
What is it about the Note5 that stops the app from scheduling. (BTW, if I schedule without any change in recording length, the Note5 works fine....
