DirecTV - Picture keeps freezing

Frames freeze on screen every 20-30 sec on 5 out of 7 international channels; impossible to watch; complaining to DTV ccare for past 4 months; their reply "You didn't buy insurance with service; we CANNOT help"; spent hours with their lousy tech supp and ccare; stuck with 2 year contract. Did anybody face this problem and how was it corrected. I swear, I will never ever go for DTV, once I am out of this contract, come June, 2009. Thank you!
Have you tried doing a power cycle of the set-top-box or DVR? Try turning it off and then on. If that doesn't help, try unplugging the unit from the wall for 15 minutes and then plugging it back in and turning it on.

If you're in a two year contract with them, I'd suggest you call them again. They should honor their warranty.
