DirecTV repair for error code 771 - DirecTV

I come home from work and both receivers show error code 771, no signal. I called for support and am told that repair service will be scheduled for NEXT Wed, 8 days from now. Is that normal? I told the agent (Lisa) that I should not have to pay for this service; she immediately said she would take care of that. Ok, but 8 days for service? Maybe it is time to go back to cable.
