In response to all the hoopla about retrans fees and channels being pulled from DirecTV's channel lineup, it looks like DirecTV has started a website for providing news and information as it becomes available. directvpromise.com directvpromise.com

Kind of reminds me when Fox created a site a while back with their retrans issues with Dish Network.

Ooh, it's getting nasty.

Tribune Broadcasting opened its own site here Tell DirecTV I want my WGNTV back!

First quote on Tribune's webpage is, "Tribune Broadcasting has NOT reached an agreement or come to terms with DirecTV on any aspect of its contract. Any statement by DirecTV to the contrary is inaccurate and misleading."

It's all political in the corporate world. I see that with Time Warner who seems to do battle a lot over fees. They will scroll messages across their channels and tell customers to call their cable company (or whatever) to insist the situation be resolved.

dropping channels

Absoloutley ridiculous. If they pull these channels ill take my business elsewhere and they won't get any money. Everyone who reads this cancel your service if they take them off the air. There's no reason we should pay more for what were getting already. Let this happen and I'm telling everyone I see to cancel there service. All in all this is total BS!!!!!

bad timing

Bad timing! My kids are out of school and the only channels they seem to watch are Nickeloeon and Disney. Why do the cost keep rising and the channels keep disappearing? I don't. I see I don't Need my home Phone anymore because of my cell. MAYBE I couldn't've do without cable and go to nexflix or buy $100 worth of dvd's every month. It would add up quick and I can keep them and watch them when ever we want.
