Not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but here goes; I was wondering if anyone knows if a Dish Network Q-Box QAM Converter can be used stand alone to tune in "in the clear" cable TV channels. Thanks!
No. Most Cat systems have switch part of their channels to the new ASTC 3.0 and put the locals on them. So until the TV and Boxes have the new ASTC 3.0 you will not be able to get locals on cableTV.
