Do I have to use a router provided by Comcast

#1
Can I use my old router that I used with AT&T DSL if I already have one instead of Comcast's? I have a technician scheduled to come tomorrow and would like a quick answer if possible.

I have no idea where you are, but here, in eastern Mass., Comcast never provided us a router. Comcast provides a cable modem, which I was able to connect my router to.

If the old router also contains the modem that was used with the AT&T service, the answer is probably no. If it's a plain-vanilla router that you connected to a separate modem via USB or Ethernet cable, then the answer is yes, you can use it with the new service. You'll simply need to connect the router to the modem that Comcast provides in the same way.
