Question: EHD with vip722k

I have a 2TB EHD which works fine.

Now my question.

Would a second EHD work through an HDMI switch?

My reason for doing that if possible is so that Carolina Panther games can be on a separate EHD.

Thanks

I am familiar with the vip722k. I've never used an external hard drive with one. The external hard drive plugs into the USB port not the HDMI so an HDMI switch is not the right tool for the job. While I am not certain from the limited amount of reading I just did on the subject. I would suspect you are going to run into some real head aches.

Others have successfully used a USB switch or just unplug one drive and plug in the other.

After a reboot you are ready to transfer recordings.

EHD's are NOT hot swappable, a reboot is required.
