Error message 927 - DirecTV

I continue To get error message 927 when trying to use on demand programming. It's not my Motem or AV receiver as every other device connects without issue - just not direct tv. This seems to be a chronic problem and the answer is always restart or wait 2-3 days till a tech can come out. I'm wondering why I'm paying so much for services that never work!
