Even if Blu-ray players support DVDs, are there titles you'd "double-up" on?

In another thread, a worried member asked if Blu-ray players will still play "old-school" DVDs as well as Blu-ray discs.

Other members have replied "Yes," but properly pointing out that it depends on the brand of player and the type of DVD disc involved.

That having been said, I was wondering if any of us are going to simply keep the DVDs we have and continue buying them till the price of Blu-ray titles comes down a bit, or if there are any particular films they'd be willing to own in both formats.

I seriously doubt that I'll substitute all my DVDs for their Blu-ray equivalents unless it's a matter of "wear and tear" replacement. There might be a few films that I'm particularly fond of that I'd be willing to have in both formats, such as the entire Star Wars saga or HBO/Playtone's Band of Brothers. Otherwise, I'll simply buy what's available and affordable.

Any other views on the matter?
