Hi all,

I am new to this forum. I am trying to put an outdoor antenna on my house in Chicago north suburbs. Have been looking for a while, and came across this antenna: EagleStar Pro #53-6165VA Digital Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Antenna with Built-in Amplifier. Looks like the only place to get it is from Canada. Anyone has had any experience with it? Found it on line watching some youtube videos regarding installation.

Thanks

Sophie

:welcome: Sophie,

I couldn't find any detailed information or believable specifications on that antenna. How did you determine you need to use an amplified antenna? As small as it is, I highly doubt it will receive VHF-high band channels very well and probably no VHF-low channels.

Please go to TV Fool and run a free antenna survey at the maximum height where you could mount an antenna, then post the resulting URL on a new thread here for us to study. From that report, we can determine the best type of antenna for your area and if you actually need an amplifier. That website will automatically conceal your personal information for your security.
