First Black Friday Ads Leaked: Hilfiger, Victoria's Secret, and Macy's

Black Friday feels just around the corner, and many of us are already budgeting and planning what to buy, but we have yet to see the bulk of the retailer offer for this shopping season. Luckily, a few ads have surfaced on the Internet, and are promising some really interesting deals for Black Friday 2012.

Tommy Hilfiger and Victoria's Secret were the first to officially release Black Friday ads, soon followed by ads from Macy's, ToysRUS, Walmart, Kmart, Ace Hardware, Pepboys and Target.

View attachment 2099 Macy's announced that they'll be opening stores at midnight, on Friday, November 23rd, and that they'll offer an array of sales and doorbusters until 1 PM, but that they'll continue the shopping event throughout the following Saturday as well. Their primary offer so far includes 40% off on all regular-priced single serving coffee makers, tea kettles and espresso makers, and special prices on various kitchen appliances: $39.99 on the client's choice of blender, plus 40% off on juicers, and 60% off on cast iron casseroles. Their detailed catalogue continues with 20% off on clothing items, wallets, handbags, and shoes; Polaroid headphones for only $9.99; as well as the opportunity to get a free set of headphones for any purchase of over $75 from the men's or women's fragrance department. Macy's also offers $10 off of purchases of $25 or more at Macy's Coupon, however, this must be used before 1 PM.

Tommy Hilfiger starts Black Friday with a store-wide discount of 40%, plus the chance to get an extra 25% off of purchases of $200 or more, before 10 AM, with the presentation of a coupon included in the flyer. Shoppers can also get a regular discount of 20% on purchases of $150 or more, or 15% off their entire purchase, all day.

Ace Hardware's 2012 Black Friday ad is strikingly similar to the one they put out last year, and it includes a Craftsman 190-Piece Tool Set and a DeWalt 18 Volt Cordless Drill, for only $99.99 each. Their sale extends throughout the entire weekend, and bears the name "Take Back Friday". The store only offers a limited number of items on sale, but provides an assortment of discounts and promotional deals. In addition to that, on Friday only, customers can save 20% off of all regular priced items until 10 AM; on Saturday they can save up 50% off of a single regular priced item under $30; and on Sunday, customers can get 10% off on a purchase of $50 or more of regular priced merchandise.

PepBoys's 4 page long Black Friday flyer is finally out, and it includes some noteworthy deals, from hydraulic floor jacks for $10 and car batteries for only $30, to doorbuster gifts ranging from $3 to $69, and electric bikes and scooters for $199. Pep Boys will also be offering a Friday only deal on all Prostop brake pads, which will be having the lowest price of the year, namely $10.99. One significant downside is that some of the offers are mail-in-rebates instead on direct in-store discounts, and other items also require that you get Pep Boys to perform the installation.
