Mobile DTV, here we goooo! Sprint selected the Samsung "Moment" phone for installation of the new ATSC M/H - MDTV tuner. There should be a few more details on it at CES 2010 this week.

The trial handsets will be equipped with Samsung's Mobile DTV Chip, which will allow Moments to receive live TV programming from local broadcast stations, and, unlike MediaFlo, there is no additional cost to the user. That's right: it's free!

Thanks Aaron,
I have a simple 'Go-Phone' and I have no interest in surfing the net or playing games on a telephone, but this intrigues me. Instant replays at football games ... woohoo!

hehe no problem, I'm watching news feeds like a hawk on it, that's how excited I am about MDTV. :) It'll be a nice little addition to my electronic gadget arsenal. Especially on long traveling trips on buses here downtown.

Aaron,
You didn't say you HAVE one. Please continue reporting on this. On other posts, it was said portable OTA would not work at a travelling speed over 5 mph. True???
