Is there a way to get a dtv converter box for free? From what I understand, the coupon program ended a couple of years ago but is there any other assistance programs to help lower costs to buy a new converter box?
You are correct, the Government program has ended. They can be purchased new from many vendors including Wal Mart and they can be found used at garage sales and Thrift Stores as well as on Craigslist dot org.
I live in Newport News VA 23606 AND i AM TIRED OF PAYING 125.00 PER MONTH FOR TV . CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME INFO ON WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT WILL WORK GOOD IN MY AREA
You will need a 2007 or newer TV, or an older TV and digital converter box. Converters are getting more difficult to find, and often times are not a wise investment. Considering the cost of a new TV. You will need an appropriate antenna for your location.
To get more antenna advice. We would need a TV Fool report for your location. Go to https://www.tvfool.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29 and post a link to your report back here.
