The controversial GCB has been canned, which is probably a good thing. Harry's Law was also canceled which to me was not such a good thing. The good dramas just don't have a chance anymore unless they show blood and gore. What a sad commentary on our society today.

Rats, about Harry's Law. J and I enjoyed that show and I think you are right Orry. Without absurd car chases and bloody shootouts it never had a chance. That's probably why we liked it.

it's a shame but for the most part, I think it's true. I've been watching the old Mission Impossible series and I dont' think it would stand a chance today. You know why? It moves slowly. You have to pay attention. Half the show was without dialog. It was the intrigue and the mystery that captivated audiences. Not true today.

Orry,

I think you're right about the original Mission Impossble and other older shows that were not meant for 'instant gratification' by their audiences. Matlock is an example of a show that offered its audience all of the clues necessary to solve a puzzle, but you had to pay close attention to details.

I was thinking about Harry's Law and it occured to me there was another show that grabbed my interest in a similar way: The Trials of Rosie O'Neil The Trials of Rosie O'Neill - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It lasted only two seasons.

Times they have changed! I was never into Rosie, though. I saw a few but it didn't capture my interest for some reason. Sharon Gless, though, has been a steady and reliable performer for decades. I think she might be one of those underrated performers who will never quite get her full due.

I think this is crazy. We are forced to watch programming that most of the time is geared for an audience of sick, sad minded individuals. Harry's Law is a show that all people with normal minds can relate to and its humor and cat and mouse play in the office is refreshing and the realism is so clear and unclouded. Please if anyone can do something about this , this adult and many friends of mine it would be greatly appreciated
