Getting best image quality on a 4K TV, and 4K xfinity box

This is more of a helpful hint then a question.

Bear in mind that, even if you have a 4K box, and a 4K tv, that mostly (with some on demand exceptions and some Amazon, and the higher fee Netflix) the signal that xfinity is passing on is 1080i (usually). If you let the box pass it as 4K, it us UPSCALING the image. To my eyes, this actually looks fuzzy. Setting the box back to 1080p made virtually everything look better.

I have not yet tested if it will pass 4K if I pay for a 4K on demand if the box is set to 1080p. Something I read made me believe that it would pass 4K, but not sure. Can anyone answer that question?
