Hooking up my DTV Converter Box to a DVR

For Christmas a friend gave me a DVR but I can't figure out how to hook it up to my TV. It's an older Zenith TV (analog style). I have a good, working antenna so no reception issues. I only want to be able to record on the DVR.

Greetings All In, welcome to the Forum :welcome:

We need a little more information on your setup please...

1) Does your TV have Audio/Video Connectors (RCA type - yellow/red/white) ?
2) Have you been using a Digital to Analog Converter Box for your TV ?
3) If you are using/have a Converter Box, does it have the "VCR Timer" Feature ?
4) Does the DVR have an analog or digital tuner ?

If you are having trouble answering the above questions...
please provide us with the Make and Model numbers of the equipment,
and we may be able to look it up, and acquire the information that way.

Have a good Day ! :)
S.W.

I've been using the converter for a long time. I don't know if it has a timer. I'll have to check the menu. Guess I"ll need to go look at the DVR, too (I'm not home right now so don't have anything by me). I think it has the rca connectors. I'll check it all out and come back later.

No problem All In, we'll be here.

I'm reasonably certain that your Converter and DVR have the RCA Connectors, that question was directed to your TV.
HA, I know these questions seem trivial, but, we need that, in order to tell you the most efficient/versatile way to make these connections,
