  • If the modem will share the cable wall outlet with a Spectrum Receiver, be sure to use the splitter. See splitter installation instructions at spectrum.net/splitter
  • To optimize your WiFi experience, place the WiFi router in a central location, away from household electronics such as baby monitors, microwaves and wireless headsets.
  • Your router has two different bandwidths:
    • 5 GHz is a faster network speed, but has a shorter wireless range.
    • 2.4 GHz has a longer wireless range, but has slower speed.
