I recently got a letter from Directv telling me to call in to get a complimentary upgrade of my Genie. I called in and staff tried to sell me a 3rd receiver. I got switched to someone who knew what I was asking about and he explained that homes can only have one Genie receiver. I did not need to upgrade my second reciever and that I could not upgrade my second receiver. How much do you think this service letter blunder is going to cost us clients in extra fees down the road for the wasted millions of dollars this is going to cost Directv in wasted service calls from clients who did not need to call in for an upgrade?
