Is The Natalie Wood Investigation Really Necessary?

I've been trying to catch as much of this as possible on the news, but ultimately I have to wonder if it is really worth it. Even if you think Robert Wagner is guilty of some transgression, unless it's first degree murder, the statute of limitations has run out on everything else like 2nd degree murder and all the manslaughter charges. Think of the money LA is spending on this. I suppose if you are one who believes RJ did something incredibly wrong, you might think it's worth it. I'm still leaning on the side that aside from being a little hotheaded and jealous, he didn't do anything but have an argument with his wife and her guest. I'll say one thing, Christopher Walken still hasn't said one word on the subject.
