Is there a "schedule" for when Netflix will add and remove shows and movies?

I have begun shows so many times and not done the whole marathon watching and ended up finding the show removed. Is there anyway to know when Netflix will update so I don't have to watch 100 hours worth of shows at once?

Unfortunately, there is not really any way to know. Netflix will sometimes show an expiration date in your instant queue / my list, but this is usually only a few days before, and isn't reliable. There used to be other sites which had better ways of finding when titles would expire, but then Netflix stopped them from doing this by not providing that information in their API.

I agree it would be helpful, and I don't understand why they can't show expiration dates, I think their reasoning is dumb.

They do not. I have watched several shows on Netflix and then got to the next season only to find Netflix doesn't have it. I prefer Netflix for movies. I'm considering Hulu Plus for TV.
