March 31, 2009 - Last day to apply for $40 Program coupon (while supplies last).
will end the coupon program, I would apply before then. the coupons are good for 90 days the expiration date is on the coupon.
Does there seem to be a feeling that there will be shortage of coupons. I thought that this was something that because of the fact we have no choice there would automaticly be enough coupons for everyone??

A recent article on Broadcasting and Cable mentions that the coupon program may run out of funds 17 days short of the DTV transition date, and seven weeks sooner than the planned end date of the coupon program on3/31/08.
It sounds bad, but Broadcasting and Cable failed to mention that Congress has actually set a few contigencies just in case of heavier than expected demand for coupons. Of the $990 million available for DTV coupon funding, there's an additonal $510 million in funds set aside to use if necessary. (Reference: http://peerta.acf.hhs.gov/uploadedFiles/DTV Inform.pdf)
they can use some of the bailout money hey if you can go to a spa why not buy converter boxes right, smack my hand it just seems like the governments answer to everything is throw money at it an let the tax payer pay the bill.
