This is pilots season in Hollywood and that means a lot of casting news as production companies strive to hire performers and sell their series to networks and cable channels. A few of the recent announcements surround Kelly Ripa's husband Mark Consuelos, ex-Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Harry Potter's pal, Rupert Grint.

As announced last week by, Consuelos is set to star in Alpha House in a pilot for Amazon Studios. He will play Andy Guzman, one of four senators rooming together in Washington D.C. Also in the cast are John Goodman, Yara Martinez, and Kobi Libii.

Gellar has been brought on board the David E. Kelley comedy, Crazy Ones. She will play Sydney Roberts, daughter of Simon Roberts, played by the unpredictable Robin Williams. Considered a workplace piece, the story revolves around the father and daughter's advertising company. The question could be asked, who is the parent and who is the child.

Finally, Grint makes his presence known as the lead in Super Clyde, playing a young man who doesn't feel like he fits in. A slightly neurotic comic book fan, when he inherits a sizeable amount of money, Clyde opts to use the cash as his superpower and do good in the world.
