I just tried mine and it is working fine. Here is an excerpt from the webpage:

The Dyle mobile TV app on my RCA TV Tablet suddenly stopped working.

As of January 1, 2015, this app is no longer supported, rendering the mobile TV functionality of this device inoperable. The ATSC TV function, as well as tablet functions, will continue to work.

The app for my Escort Mobile TV Receiver suddenly stopped working.

In December 2014, an app update was released. Try downloading the latest app version.

The app for my Belkin Mobile TV receiver suddenly stopped working.

As of January 1, 2015, this app is no longer supported, rendering the receiver device inoperable.

So, if you bought one of these "no longer supported" devices specifically for this purpose, now you have yourself an expensive paper weight?

Nice.

I have been down a similar path or two in my life in the past, too. For example, when HD Radio rolled out, I was quite skeptical in my own mind that their proposed "business model" was viable. Despite that, I wanted to try it because I am a "techie guy". One of the differences with HD radio is they are also excellent analog FM radios. They are quite sensitive and selective.

However, the Audiovox MobileTV tuner is pretty much a "one trick pony". I bought it cheap on Fleabay, so I don't feel as bad a someone that paid $100 for one new.

The RCA TV tablet also has a regular ATSC tuner. It is not a great tablet and not a great TV, but it does fill a need for that in an area with little to choose from.

Some technologies just sort of hit me as flops. For example, does anybody remember HD DVDs before Blu Ray won that battle? What about laser discs?

I am still not sure which will vanish first, Radio Shacks stores or ATSC-M/H from the airwaves! Both have a pretty bleak outlook.

Remember Beta-Max? My family got burned on that. Ever since, I have not rushed to any new tech, and wait until I see a clear winner.

What are these "Radio Shacks" of which you speak?
