My Old DVD Player

#1
I have had this same DVD player since they were released. It is a Panasonic, and was over $200 when we first bought it. They made a quality player because this machine still runs as if it were just bought yesterday. I am so happy with this buy.

When the first players were released, they were made of quality materials. It seemed as thought the major brand companies wanted to get everything JUST right for the consumers. Now everything is so cheap and junky, it is hard to find a good one.

I was thinking to myself when I bought it if it was going to be just a one hit wonder. I was thinking how long DVDs were going to be around. I thought VHS was going to live forever.

Exactly what I was saying earlier today! The older brands are so much better than the newer ones. I think the newer models are just skimping on everything that you will need to be able to have a quality machine.

Yes, old is always good especially when it comes to electronic gadgets. Although they lack in enhancing features they are definitely one of the best when it comes to product quality and longevity. My old DVD player is still working after 6 years and I am very happy about it.

I think the whole industry is doing it.
You pay good money, but you only good these plastic goods, that seemed to die one day after end of the guarantee.

Just goes to show that the early stuff was really well made. Now that just about everyone carries dvd players, including some grocery stores (what the heck?) it just goes to show that a lot of the stuff is just plain cheap when compared to yours.

...including some grocery stores...
Oh, don't remind me of the Coby DVD players, those things were a nightmare. There were a ton of those returned to the store as soon as the laser mount came untaped. (Coby was too cheap to use glue.) I took one dead player apart and was shocked to see TAPE in there!!!

Hey,

It is good to know that you are happy with your purchase. The problem with technical equipment, especially DVD players is that they are worth nothing within a couple of months !!!!
