Netflix Activation - How to activate your new TV, smartphone, or device for Netflix

Staff member
Have you recently purchased a netflix enabled device? Are you looking to connect it to your Netflix account, and are unsure how to do it?

View attachment 2500 This guide will hopefully serve as an easy to use setup during your installation of Netflix on your new TV, smartphone, or Netflix enabled device.

For starters, make sure your device is connected to the internet via your home wifi network or with its built-in mobile broadband (most smartphones and some tablets come equipped with mobile broadband.)

Second, make sure the Netflix app is already installed on your device. Most new smart TV's, smatphones with iOS and Android operating systems, and tablets should already have Netflix icons ready to click on to start the streaming TV service. There are a few instances where Netflix may need to be installed first though, like the Wii game console which requires that you download the Netflix app from the Wii store first.

Third, start up the Netflix app on your device, and get the Netflix activation code. This code will be needed for input into your existing Netflix account. To do this, you will need a computer with internet access before continuing to step four.

Fourth, and finally, go to and enter your activation code into the box on that page and continue with the steps that are given after clicking the "Activate" button.

That's it, you should now be ready to enjoy watching Netflix on your new device. Netflix does have a help page for activation problems, so be sure to check that out if you're unable to connect your new device to their service.
