On Demand connection issues - DirecTV

I am having connection problems with the HR54 box. Specifically with the On Demand movies and TV shows to download or stream. When downloading, it will start and get to about 2-3% and then stop with and display an error connecting to Directv. This happens with all On Demand channels.


This sounds like it might be a router issue. Before you try messing with the router though, have you updated to the latest firmware for your Genie box? Try powering it off and then on as well, which could resolve the issue.


I have had the same issue since upgrading to the HR-54 box. The HR-54 will not recognize the purchase of an on demand movie and continually gives error messages. DTV customer service simply says this is a known issue that their engineers are working on but no fix is in sight. This is B.S.
