Update: I really like this unit, no problems yet either. Owner's manual is huge. The preset surround modes are perfect for my liking because I do not like to mess around with manual adjustments. I'm not liking the menu system, but then again I've never liked any menu system on receivers I purchased in the past, they always seem so limited.

I got mine off of ebay also and really got a great price. I believe it was in April. I've had Harman Kardon for the past 10 years or so, but I used to have Pioneer Elite before then.

This unit has a ton of features, but like you state, you can put it in automatic and it pretty well handles anything thrown at it. I would have to rate it as one of the better receivers I have ever had.

With the sound system I have, whenever I play a blu-ray action movie, I can rattle the rafters.
