Playing XOD with Xfinity remote app - XFinity

My Xfinity TV Remote App is linked correctly and I can change channels using the guide etc. but whilst I can view the XOD page and see all the XOD content I get the same error every time I try to play any XOD content which states "Our services are telling us something went wrong. If your TV did not tuned as expected, please give it another try”. No other suggestions to correct are given. Is there a solution to this?
