[h=2]PlayStation 4 release: New Year game line-up for 2014[/h]
Sony's PlayStation 4 release this year was a major success for the company, as it entered into a new generation of video game consoles head-to-head with main competitor Microsoft and its Xbox One. Before its release, analysts had raised warning flags that video gaming was in decline, though so far sales figures have far exceeded expectations.

One of the big concerns right now, however, is that there are still only a handful of major titles available since the PlayStation 4 release. While exclusive games like Resogun, Killzone Shadow Fall, and Knack are keeping gamers busy over the holiday season, many are looking ahead to 2014 for a more extensive game catalogue.
It is not uncommon for new consoles to have a limited number of launch titles. Upon release, the previous-generation PlayStation 3 was well-known for collecting dust, partly due to its lack of first-party software, but also due to its notoriously dust-adhesive, piano black surface.
With the PlayStation 4 release much of Sony's strategy has changed, but the game 'Watch Dogs', which was originally meant to be a launch title but later delayed indefinitely, is estimated to have cost Sony a large number of pre-orders and holiday sales.
During 2014, an impressive amount of titles are scheduled for PlayStation 4 release. Below is the current list available:
