Please wait while your device receives a required update - XFinity

I just started using one of the additional room boxes for the first time in a while and every 15 minutes or so a screen pops up that says Please wait while your device receives a required update. It goes on to say it should take less than 20 minutes to complete and there is a progress bar across the bottom that never shows progress and after a minute or so it goes back to regular programming. I have reset the box a couple of times.
