Problem with my receiver - DirecTV

Lightning hit our receiver a few months ago and I was sent a new receiver. However, now all of the channels on the guide say HD and we cannot view those channels. We can only view the local channels like 4, 18, 34 and one channel of NICK, one channel of ION. I work all of the time and I don't have time to take off work or sit on the phone with someone to walk me through something we have already been though. The receiver that we have in our living room "non of the channels say HD". We have been customers of Direct TV for a very long time. Everytime I call about anything and mind you "I don't call often" It requires a fee, upgrade or my bill increases. Not sure what else to do. Any ideas???
