For DirecTV TV services which include DVRs and receivers, RAte increase after 1st year in Direct Tv contract When we started service with direct tv last October we were told that rates would go up after the 1st year in the 2 year contract but that we could call customer service and talk with them and they could lower the price increase some. I tried this a few days ago like we were told we could and we were told nothing they could do! So our bill went up $30 a month, which is a lot when it was $52 to begin with. I'm pretty disappointed and wish we had gotten that in writing since now we are stuck in a raised prices contract for a year. AT&T has always been amazing with our cell service so we thought Direct Tv with them would be great, it has been nothing but wrong information and issues, so stressful and upsetting.
