Recorded content doesn't match program guide (which is current); recording is a prior

#1
We received a receiver (ISB7500) to replace the original that became unreliable after just five months of use. The new one appears to be identical to the original. After powering up and recording some shows we started to watch a recorded show (NCIS). The description in the program guide showed the channel, original broadcast date (today), and time of show; but as we watched it we soon realized the recording was an episode from a prior season (the recorded show included an actor that has left the series starting this season). We chalked it up to freak accident...until we watched the next recorded show (Bull - which happens to star the actor that left NCIS) which is new a new show this season; but as we watched, we realized that this was also a previous episode of that show. Again, the recording content was a previously broadcast episode, but the program guide showed the current date and time, and a description that did not match the recorded content. The guide is correct; but the recording is wrong. It's as if the machine is recording the show we want, but not the current episode - so where's it getting the old one that we see when we play the recording? And, obviously, how do I correct it?
