RVU incompetence - DirecTV

So is it just my unlucky experience as a new customer or is this level of incompetence normal? We have an RVU capable TV, and when it was set up they techs had no clue how to accomplish their task. Now it's messed up once again. After, what now amounts to 3 hrs on the phone, they sent a tech to fix it..... however he openly admitted he'd never worked on an RVU unit. Now I'm spending all day waiting on someone else to come here to attempt to fix it. Calling to make a complaint did nothing. I literally got an " I'm sorry" and that's it. If this is the norm I do believe we won't be staying with direct tv.
