Some Pics of Bose Acousimass 3 bass "module"

I happened to be reading about Bose and feeling snobby. I found some home-grown images a guy took of the insides of a bass module. The right term is subwoofer but since this speaker system does not reach true subwoofer potential Bose calls it a module I guess.

Glue applied liberally I suppose.

Bose uses the small automotive light bulb as an overload protection device. Others use it also. Notice the way the speaker leads are slip-fitted onto the the terminals. I guess they stay tight. Normally I see spade terminals. I guess this is a cost-saving feature?

Lots of hot glue strands across the circuit board. This won't hurt anything but it screams mass-produced. If you buy Bose, you are paying top dollar. I've seen top-quality gear from many manufacturers and they do not have glue spider-webbed all over things.
