Still paying for OLD movies!!

I pay a LOT of money for Cable TV (Xfinity/Comcast). More than $250 a month!
But nearly *every movie* I look for, even from the 80s & 90s, (or classic movies from decades earlier!), now have to be bought or rented!
With On-Demand, HBO-GO, etc, I still gotta PAY to see 10-20-40 yr old movies that were on HBO a hundred times for free years ago?

What is up with that?? This Ticks me off!

Wanted to watch a 25+ yr old movie yesterday (Falling Down, w/ Michael Douglas) and the only options were to rent it, or buy it. Same with many many old movies, good or bad, all across the decades!

When did this become the norm with OnDemand and Xfinity?

It wasn't that long ago that any movie that was more than a few years old, and/or had been shown on HBO channels several times were then available for FREE on OnDemand. What happened? This is not right!
