strangest online game you've played?

I've played this one, it's pretty fun to play.

NANACA￾õCRASH!!
(don't really need Japanese language pack to play)

You start off by choosing the angle and power, where a bicyclist crashes into a character, sending him off tumbling to a far distance. Characters he'll encounter boost or slow down the speed, raise or lower the angle, block the next character's action or stop him altogether. You can give several booster crashes to keep the momentum going. I've heard of one player going over 2 thousand "miles" without doing a thing. Just picked the right starting angle and power, the characters did the rest.

It's sort of like YetiSports - here's the "bloody landmine" version of that, which is strange itself: Yeti Sports 1 (Bloody Penguin) (please don't post links to the rest of the YetiSports series as those are for-pay) Here's the startsite, for those interested: https://www.yetisports.org/ (Faves are Albatross Overload and Seal Bounce)

Here's a Yeti Sports clone that shocked my brother. Pingu Sports // Der Sven 004 Teaser :: phenomedia publishing gmbh

That Japanese game is crazy. I scored a 59.41m. ;)

I love all the Yeti sports games but better yet, the variations on them are hilarious.

Online Flash/Java game or Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game?
Sure, I've had my fare share of strange MMORPGs. One I encountered was distributed as a leave-behind dropcard. A few years back, I saw one table had CDs scattered all over it for Moya.net's "Renewal" The major problem I had was I couldn't read a lick of Korean, and the game was distributed in the U.S. From what I had gleaned pictures on it, it was a game about reincarnation done Warcraft-style.

Heck you can talk about strange door games for BBS systems that you can stil telnet to. One I liked playing was this "Psycho" game where you're a loony bin inmate, and you gain strength by fighting monsters in the closet. You can even fight other inmates for points, if you can slip past or bribe the players' guards. That one was real fun, be cool if that one made it out as a true MMORPG.

BBSs ah the 'primitive' internet. i remember some games were 'text adventures' which were strange if not somehow so addicting:

'You find yourself in a large dark corridor, there's bones of your people scattered all around. what do you do?'

>_

Those 'text adventures' were neat in the way they forced you to use your imagination, sorta like reading an interactive book.

What better segue to go an play this Homestar Runner game, Thy Dungeonman! Thy Dungeonman! Thy hunger!

Oh, speaking of odd HSR games, have you played this pseudo-Russian game, a take on the Carmen Sandiego game series, "Where's an Egg?" Where's an Egg? (No Russian language knowledge needed)

HSR is full of good old-school gems, a lot of them are parked under their "videogame company" logo, Videlectrix Home - Home of our Videlectrix!!

i don't know about those but one of my favorite Text-Adventures was Borrowed Time for the Apple II.

"You're sitting in your office. suddenly, a strange shadow appears in the window"

>LOOK OUT WINDOW

"You can't. the window washer's busy doing his job"

>KILL WINDOW WASHER

"the dead eyes of the window washer look into yours as he plummets down to the sidewalk below. shortly after, the cops arrive and you're arrested"

GAME OVER

First foray into that game lol!

Well I am no where near as high tech as you guys, but I had to mention caligula from Adult swim. Just killing people for the sake of killing them. What a concept

Ah, Viva Caligula.

That looks like the online version of "Postal" game, from Running with Scissors. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postal_(computer_game)
I've played the Postal series, it's wacky, especially the 3D version, which is comparable to Grand Theft Auto due to the Unreal engine used.

There's some fighting action in Viva Caligula that's remniscent of another game I liked: Monolith's "Blood," where, amongst other actions, you shoot flares and spray burning hairspray at enemies to set them on fire.

Okay, here's another one for you. I just went to check up on the main site for any new songs, and they've come up with the strangest game yet - Chasm Spasm - rathergood.com

The goal is to use the control keys to defeat a chasm.

It's actually a poke at the excessive crazy combo attacks in fighter games like this:

I guess they've (7 Seconds of Love) seen players gloating over doing the combos one too many times, during their concert gigs at bars.

I played a game where you have to serve customers and you work in a restaurant. It was a little weird but it is a cute game for kids. I was just bored at the time.

I just dropped online games and went back to the 1980s-90s sims from back before the internet when i played games too long.

1. Battlehawks 1942

2. Their Finest Hour, The Battle Of Britain

3. Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe

All Lucasfilm titles too. i don't know what i was about WWII combat flight sims but i can still waste away hour by hour on them. graphics are dated but i never cared about that. i actually missed the cheesy PC Speaker sounds, too. and when the router drops the internet for hours on end, i can always sit back with old games such as those

They had more depth, could last a lot longer, no limits because there were always controls to customize them to where you never really truly 'finish' the game, the AI was so top notch that every time you played the same mission there was no repetition it was always different. different results, different moves every time. and all of that could fit on two 5.25" floppies. wow.

I used to play a online game about a decade ago called "Subspace". It's kind of like a super Asteroids shooter game but in Massively Multiplayer Online Game form. I think it was one of the first true MMOG games of its time.

I played a game called "Moorhuhn" and it was quite funny.
A year later they got "Rache der Moorhühner(revenche of the moorhuhns)" and it was funny too.

You do not need to know German for understanding both games.
YouTube - The Moorhuhn-Shooter (18+)

YouTube - Die Rache der Sumphühner - Gebirge - PC Causal Gameplay
:becky: lol. Moorhuhn kind of reminds me of Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 (on the Wii).
