The new OTA sci-fi channel will be called "COMET TV" and while there's still little info on it the Rabbit Ears website does have a list of 10 confirmed television stations that will carry it with (IMO) many more to come.

All the announced affiliates are Sinclair stations, and nothing in Vegas yet. Bummer.

They hope to launch their network in 30% of the country so there's still hope. I'm hoping they add Dayton, Ohio so that the folks here can see it too. I'll be able to pick them up on WSTR 64.3 since we have an outdoor antenna but those with an indoor antenna are probabley gonna' be out of luck.
Hi, Betty! :)

Anyway, Trips RabbitEars.info site is now providing an official link to Comet TV's website which can be viewed right here COMET Sci-fi Network. It even has a countdown to their launch of the newest diginet on the planet earth.

Have we covered Decades, Laff, Justice Network, Escape, and Grit? I have all of those except Grit. Denver got the women's channel (which mostly has true crime) but not the manly "John Wayne" channel. I like all four of the networks I have access to. And, I'm not a woman, so I shouldn't like "true crime" programming. ;)

According to Rabbitears.info, here in the Altoona, PA market we are going to lose GRIT and it will be replaced with CometTV. While I'm excited for the new subchannel, it'll be a shame to lose GRIT. I really like it. How often can you wake up on a Saturday morning and watch Conan the Barbarian? I'll be sorry to see it go.

I still like MeTV better. I have two MeTV affiliates, a full affiliate out of Denver (KTVD), and a mongrel MeTV/MyNetwork affiliate out of Colorado Springs (KKTV). My Antenna TV affiliate is KDVR Denver. I also have COZI out of Cololorado Springs on KWHS.

Cincinnati and Dayton both broadcast MeTV and at times will show different programs in each market. Not sure if AntennaTV does that but I hope they do.

Apparently there are no new diginets on the horizon and from my understanding Comet TV was the last one. It's been almost a year ago so since Comet came on the air so what a shame. I suspect this latest FCC spectrum auction has something to do with the lack of new diginets but hopefully once the auction is over and the wireless companies get way less spectrum that they hoped for, we'll see more new diginets on TV.

Sinclair Broadcasting has been replacing Grit and Get TV with their newest channel creation, TBD (To Be Determined).

From what I've been reading TBD is all but universally hated by viewers and almost no broadcast owners outside of Sinclair owned stations seem interested in airing it. It really is a dreadful mess. If you wanna see what an over the air disaster looks like check out TBD's live stream on their website.

If there's no room to add it on WGN-TV, I wonder if they'll take one of the networks off of WGN-TV, whether it would be This TV, or Antenna TV. As it stands, Antenna TV is on 9.2, & This TV on 9.3. WGN-TV 9.1 broadcasts in 1080i. Just my opinion, I thought This TV was programmed, when Weigel Broadcasting was handling the programming. I miss the cartoons & certain shows.

Chicago has had several changes since my last post. Since I don't remember what changes were made since my last post, I will do an entire new list of what's in Chicago. I will tell you that there is already channel sharing taking place on 2 stations. WXFT officially shut off their transmitter on RF 50, and switched to a channel sharing agereement with WLS-TV. As part of the agreement, Unimás is now at 720p, & Livewell Network got downgraded to 480i widescreen to make room for 60.1 & 60.2. Also, that meant that Univision accepted Laff on 66.2, but they had to downgrade their main channel to 720p, in order to make room for Laff. While NBC hasn't shut off WSNS yet on RF 45, WMAQ-TV on RF 29 is running dual 1080i on their station, & running both NBC & Telemundo in HD, Cozi in 480i widescreen, & Tele Éxitos in 480i (mapped to 44.3 & 44.4 for 44.1 & 44.2). While I can't get WWTO, they sold off their VHF license, & turned off their station out in LaSalle, IL. They initially entered a channel sharing agreement with WLPD-CD, but they have since bought the station outright, & moved their programming to that station. I don't get WLPD-CD either, & won't know how the programming is listed. September 2016 is when I believe they went back to independent status. The new Tribune Company wanted to stop farming out all their sportscasts to WCIU, that they decided not to renew their affiliation with CW, though they did in New York & Los Angeles. WYCC on RF 21 sold off their spectrum, & turned in their license. So they officially signed off. While the FCC records claim they're working on a channel sharing agreement with WTTW, it's been reported that the City Colleges of Chicago Director (or whoever is in charge of the colleges & the TV station) has refused to talk about the plans for WYCC).
Here's what Chicago has.

Here is a list of the START TV affiliates and more information. As Tim mentioned above, this new Network launches Sept 3.

Weigel Broadcasting Co. to launch new ‘Start TV’ network in association with CBS television stations

I saw this posted on another website, & while I'm excited to see another network over the air, I'm sad that WBBM-TV (and probably most other CBS O&O stations) is dropping Decades for Start TV. In Chicago, Decades will move over to another station within the Weigel group. Unless Weigel can squeeze another subchannel on WCIU (they're already broadcasting 26.1 at 720p, & 480i widescreen on 26.2 - 26.5 (Bounce just went widescreen recently), & 26.2 (U Too) is a simulcast of WMEU-CD 48.1, 26.3 (MeTV) is a simulcast of WWME-CD 23.1, & 26.4 (H&I) is a simulcast of WWME-CD 23.2. If Decades can only go on WWME-CD 23.3, then until I can get my outdoor antennas installed, I won't be able to get WWME-CD. I moved in January, & have not been able to get my outdoor antennas installed for money reasons. It's sad that out of the LPTV stations, that I can get WDCI-LD (Daystar), but not WWME-CD (MeTV/H&I) on RF 39, or WMEU-CD (U Too in 720p HD & CBS on 48.3 & Decades on 48.4) on RF 32
