Technicolor TC8717T Intermittent Drop - Time Warner Internet

This question is about "Technicolor TC8717T Intermittent Drop", with Time Warner Cable internet and apps. Hi, I have TWC/ Spectrum 100 x 10 Mbps plan in Richardson, TX and speed test is good. However, it is frequently dropping connection both wired and wireless (2.4 & 5 GHz) every few hours. When it disconnects, it quickly reconnects in a few minutes as the modem reboots itself.

This modem is brand new out of the box leased and set up by TWC/ Spectrum tech and we do use all wired and both 2.4 & 5GHz wireless.

I have talked to TWC/ Spectrum tech support numourous times regarding the issue and they've tried all sorts of steps including refersh my signal, flash my DNS, pushed out firmware update for my modem, manually set channels for both 2.4 & 5GHz wireless signals and reset my modem back to factory default and unfortunately none has resolved the connection drop issue.

Finally, TWC/ Spectrum sent a tech out last Friday. He checked the cables from outside pole into the modem and found some loose cable ends so he tightened them and said signal is within tolerance +/- 12 dB coming into the modem as shown on his handheld device. Of course it was all good while the tech was here and after he left, the connection drop continues.

I have read someone with the same modem had the same issue and switched the modem to Ubee then the problem is solved but I do not have the confirmation.

spectrum modems are a joke

Im having the same issue i have the same router and twc says that everything fine like they know if they keep this up cause i live in Los Angeles, New York already sued them like i been with twc for 4 years and 6 months with Spectrum and from those years i never recieved the actual speeds. Like im paying $69.99 and Verzion charges the same for 150mbps like i get tired of calling them everytime
