"The changes at the Television Bureau of Advertising in New York, to be formally announced on Thursday, are intended to refocus it as a resource for the advertiser clients of the more than 600 stations that are its members. To underscore that shift, the bureau is replacing a longtime slogan, “Serving America’s television stations,” with a phrase, “Local media marketing solutions,” meant to describe what members are offering Madison Avenue on computer and smartphone screens as well as on the screens of TV sets.

The changes even include the bureau’s brand. After being known for years as TVB, it is adopting that as its official name. The rebranding echoes a decision by the American Association of Advertising Agencies to adopt a shorthand designation, the Four A’s, as its name." ...
