With the trend toward cheap shows that put more money in the producers pocket, I feel that American TV is going down the tubes......no pun intended here folks.
I remember the big spending shows like Stargate and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Firefly. Not to mention the failed Surface, and Invasion. Both of which had great stories lines but were deemed to expensive to continue considering their ratings. ( put them in good time slots and give them a chance will ya ! )

Yes, we crave more special effects. With the introduction of High Definition shows, customers are going to want more special effects like they get with Stargate, Stargate Atlantis and other space or action shows. We aren't going to settle for hum drum budgeted shows when we know what the producers are capable of.

well, i think that those special effects are starting to be awesome. and maybe in the future, it will be something more. there is a big possibility that televisions and movies will be very different.
