This agreement between Fox Television Studios and Netflix no doubt played a role in a new season making it to fans. With deals like this happening regularly, the disappointment of our favorite dropped shows might be a thing of the past.

And, as some speculate, many older cancelled shows will continue to come back to the TV through exlcusive streaming deals such as this.

Over the next few months, the complete seasons 1 and 2, which are already available to the US customers base of Netflix since 2012, will be available in all 40 countries where Netlfix is streamed.

Knowing the viewing habits of their subscibers, the Chief Content Officer of Netflix makes this statement:

"We're excited to see The Killing back on TV and we're especially proud to bring Season 3 to our members so soon after it premieres on AMC," said Ted Sarandos. "The Killing is a terrific serialized drama and we know our members love these high-quality shows."

The Killing follows a variety of murder investigations and is based on the Danish series Forbrydelsen.

Detectives "Stephen Holder" (Joel Kinnaman) and "Sarah Linden" (Mireille Enos) lead the investigations in the first 2 seasons to air, with only Stephen initially working as detective come season 3.
